Cleaning Your Burnt Stove Top What You’ll Need 1. Remove the stove grate (gas stove) or heating coil (electric stove). Use the abrasive side of a sponge or scrub brush with a little soap to remove burnt or burned food. If the brush is not enough, prepare a paste of baking soda and cover the stove. Spray vinegar on the stove and watch it ignite, softening tough stains. Wipe with a microfiber cloth. 6. Still fat? Try a stovetop scraper. Dip a kitchen towel in the vinegar and wipe the counter. Install an induction hob with a Proline hood.

Clean your burnt hob

To clean the burnt cooktop, remove the grate from the gas stove or the heating coil from the electric stove. Next, wipe the dirt off the stove before making a paste of baking soda to cover the stove. Use three parts baking soda and one part water. To polish your pan and collect dirt, wipe it with a cloth soaked in vinegar.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably boiled food while cooking and watched helplessly as it covered your stove. Or maybe you drop food on the cooktop during cooking and the food sticks to the cooktop over time.

You keep cooking – and when it’s all over, you forgot your stove.

It’s the next morning and you walk into your kitchen – you know right away what’s happened. Now the food or liquid has time to put on your stove!

At that time, it seemed impossible to clean. You don’t want to waste time trying methods that don’t work.

Let’s see how to properly clean a burnt cooktop in just 20 minutes.

How to Clean a Burnt Stove Top

What do you need

All of these ingredients are only necessary if you follow all the steps in the process to remove burnt-on food from the stove. Depending on how persistent your kitchen stain is, you may not need all of the following.

Wherever possible, we’ve partnered with Amazon so you can easily purchase these to get your cleaning project started.

  • Plastic bag
  • Sponges
  • A few towels (microfiber recommended)
  • Dishwasher soap
  • Scrub brush (optional)
  • kitchen scraper
  • Degreaser (optional)
  • The vinegar
  • (enough to make a paste of baking soda and soak in one of your towels)
  • Baking soda

Spray Bottle and Paper Towels

1. Remove the stove grate (gas cooker) or heating coil (electric cooker).

This will allow you to reach the entire hob and start a thorough cleaning. There is no one way to remove the heating coils from your electric range; this varies depending on the type of stove. Check the manual or contact the device company if you are unsure how to dispose of it.

You can soak the stovetop grill in warm water and a soapy solution in the sink. For electric hobs, unplug the hob, wait for the heating coil to cool, then clean it with a damp (not wet) cloth and a little soap. For stubborn stains, you can sprinkle baking soda on the coil, let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then spray the coil with vinegar.

  1. Cover the burners with a plastic bag or any hole in the cooktop so that cleaner does not seep inside the cooktop.
  2. Wipe up loose food with a towel and a little soap.

Before you reach a tough grease spot, make it easier yourself by removing as much dirt as possible. Isolate stubborn stains and focus your efforts on problem areas of the stove.

2. Use the abrasive side of a sponge or scrub brush with a little soap to remove burnt or burned food.

Sponge and Steel Wool

3. If the brush is not enough, make a paste of baking soda and cover the stove.

Baking soda powder is combined with water to form a pasty paste. Use three parts baking soda and one part water. You can leave the mixture on for 20 minutes – or even overnight for “unremovable” stains.

4. Spray vinegar on the stove and watch it catch fire, softening tough stains.

This will take care of most of your stubborn stains – it only takes a minute or two for the baking soda and vinegar to dissolve stubborn stains.

5. Wipe with a microfiber cloth.

6. Still hard and greasy? Try a stovetop scraper.

‘So I tried all the methods here. But the signs won’t go away! “

Do not worry! A final method you can try is to use a kitchen scraper. Try itCerama Bryte kitchen scraperfrom Amazon – or you can also buythe package includes their cleaning solutionalso.

Your last resort is to use a butter knife or razor blade to scrape pastries from the oven. It can scratch your cooker, so it’s never ideal. But, if you are careful, it can work.

7. Dip a kitchen towel in vinegar and wipe the counter.

The vinegar will remove any dirt you missed during this cleaning process – and give your counter a nice shine.
