Why report?
Your room is important

Before we get into your bedroom layout, it’s important to talk about why your bedroom layout is so important and important to your overall well-being.

A peaceful, clutter-free bedroom can become your refuge and refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

It can be an oasis and a paradise where you can rest, relax, recharge and find some peace at the end of a long day.

But when your bedroom is full of clutter and “stuff,” there’s no way it can be the refuge or sanctuary you expect.

Instead, it becomes a stressful, chaotic space that leaves you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and unable to get enough rest. Just seeing all the clutter is a constant reminder of what’s left on your to-do list at the end of the day.

Clean up the mess for a better night’s sleep

A cluttered bedroom can even interfere with your sleep. Chaotic
can overstimulate your brain, making it difficult for your brain to turn into
a relaxed state that helps you fall asleep easily and soundly.

The bedroom is the last space you see before falling asleep and the first space you see when you wake up. Don’t let clutter be the first and last thing you see every day.

How to declare
your room

But how do you tidy up your bedroom and make it a personal oasis? Here’s a 4-step plan to follow to learn how to tidy up your bedroom and make it the space you’ve always dreamed of!

1. Create a clear vision of your space

The first step in learning how to decorate your room is to start with your vision for your room. How do you want it to look, feel and work?

Take a few minutes to be really clear with yourself
Your vision for your bedroom is. Then use that vision to guide
declared decisions. Only keep the things that support your vision for

Clarify the purpose of your room

Also, be clear about the purpose of the pieceFriend.Determining your bedroom layout starts with knowing exactly how you want to use the space.

If you want your bedroom to be just a sleeping area,
make sure your reporting decisions reflect this. You probably won’t need much
furniture other than the bed and maybe a nightstand or dresser.

If using the bedroom for other purposes makes sense for you and your lifestyle, go for it. I think you should use the spaces in your home in whatever way works best for you. If that means having a home office in the corner of your bedroom, your treadmill by the window, etc. then use it.

2. Start with the big picture

The next step in learning how to tidy up your bedroom is to take a “big picture” of your space. Look at the furniture and large items you currently have in your bedroom. Do you like what you have? Are you using each for its intended purpose?

Make it a goal to only keep works that add value to your life by staying in your room. Each section should support your vision and the destination of your room.

Here is an example:

A good example is having a chair or accent chair in your bedroom. Do you use this chair to read a book or enjoy your morning coffee? Or has the chair become a dress-up pony, holding clean clothes, dirty clothes, clothes you plan to put back on before washing, etc.?

If you use and love the chair for the right purpose, it will add value and meaning to your life. If this turns out to be a messy synthesis, maybe it’s time for it to work.

Evaluate all the furniture in your bedroom. If only
items you don’t need, don’t like, or aren’t using for their intended purpose, consider throwing them away
Last name.

3. Clean cluttered surfaces

The next step in cleaning your room is to treat

Flat surfaces tend to be messy magnets, and things can pile up quickly and easily. Declutter surfaces where things tend to pile up – bedside tables, dressers, shelves and even floors!

Start with a flat surface and clean it, then move
to the next surface. Get rid of anything you don’t use or like. Then put
things you want to keep out of place.

Clutter often comes from items that don’t have a home. Find or make a home for whatever you want to keep to make sure it won’t clutter up your flat surfaces anymore. As you organize your bedroom, it will be easier for you to find places for the things you keep.

Aim to keep the surface clear

After erasing the surfaces, be very selective
on what you choose to put back on your bedroom surfaces. aim only

4. Clean cupboards, drawers, shelves, dressers, etc.

Then, work through the rest of your bedroom to clear the space clutter.

First, get rid of anything that doesn’t belong in your bedroom and put it where it belongs. Don’t let your bedroom become a dumping ground for random items you don’t know what else to do with. Keep only the things you use, need or love in your room!

Next, ask yourself if each item matches your purpose and vision for your bedroom. If it’s not something youoften used and/or preferred, Let it go. Make sure you find a place for each item you keep so it doesn’t get cluttered in your bedroom.

Break the work down into smaller tasks or areas toAvoid feeling overwhelmedper project. For example, plan to tackle each closet drawer or section of the room at a time.

Interior design

Don’t forget to note your room decoration items like

Decluttering my room for the first time in two years because Marie Kondo is my life inspiration and I want a clean room before I graduate high school.

I didn’t follow the Konmari method because I was only cleaning my room and the clutter situation wasn’t super intense. My quick and dirty decluttering method is: 1. gather EVERYTHING in one place 2. sort through what to keep, donate, or throw away 3. put EVERYTHING back. Easy peasy done.

Actually it wasn’t easy peasy, it took 7 hours, but it was very satisfying and I hope you enjoy watching these timelapses of me getting my room (and therefore also my life) in order!
