How to clean high heels

Beauty, fashion, stain removal

The trend of wearing high heels is increasing day by day. Whether it is a formal business meeting or a wedding, women often choose high heels to match their outfits. However, just like other shoes, it is important to clean high heels from time to time to prevent permanent stains and damage to the shoes. Here are some tips that will help you clean your heels on your next walk, depending on their fabric!

1. The first step in cleaning is to use a dry cloth to wipe the inside of the heel. This helps remove dust or skin oils that accumulate on the heels. If the heel is leather or suede, use a brush and make small circular movements to remove the dirt.

2. For stubborn stains on leather heels, use a cotton ball dipped in shoe polish to remove stains. After cleaning, remember to wipe off any remaining shoe wax. Additionally, a little mineral oil applied to the scratch can also help remove the marks on the heel.

3. If the heel is suede, you can use a pencil eraser to remove the dirt. Otherwise, use a cloth soaked in white vinegar to soak up the stain. Let the heels dry and once the vinegar has dried, use a brush to remove the marks left behind. Additionally, the cleaning alcohol used with the fabric also helps to give the suede heel a cool and fresh look.

4. If the shoes are satin, use a dry paper towel to remove dirt. You can also use a damp cloth to dab the stain along the fibers of the fabric. Also, if the stain is still difficult to remove, add a little liquid soap to a damp cloth and dab again. After cleaning, use a dry towel to absorb excess water and moisture from the satin.

5. If the heel is cotton, use a damp cloth to remove dust and use liquid soap for stubborn stains.

6. For fabric heels, begin the cleaning process once the stain is completely dry, as attempting to clean while the stain/stain is still wet will result in more damage. Gently tap the bottom of the shoes together so that the dry mud falls on the heels of the shoes. Next, add some detergent to a bowl of lukewarm water. Use a clean toothbrush soaked in the water-detergent mixture and scrub the shoes. After scrubbing, use a clean cloth dampened with water to wipe away any remaining dirt. Tuck some fabric inside the shoes and let them stand in the sun to dry them completely.

7. To get rid of shoe odor, create portable bags that are easy to use when needed. Use ground coffee and wrap it in a sachet. This pack can be placed in the heels to deodorize them.
