If you’re a fan of my videos, you are going to love this! haha ok sorry, but in all seriousness, one of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when I see a dirty, dusty fan. It especially annoys me to see that dirty, dusty fan RUNNING. I just can’t help but think that it’s blowing dust everywhere and making a mess. Plus another thing is it undoubtly reduces the overall lifetime of the fan as when a fan has dust caked up like that, not only does it put the motor under a bigger load, but it also increases the air resistance of the blades, which essentially will stress the motor. NOT ONLY THAT, but it also uses more energy to have all that dust caked up like that.

So, my biggest question about this is, why don’t people take the time to do this? I can only assume two things: 1) they are lazy, which I can relate to. 2) they don’t know how to do it. Well, is you fall in the second category, then PLEASE watch this video. It really is important to keep your fans clean. Especially if you are in a big building, like an office building. Next time you have some spare down time at work. maybe go around and see if you can find any dirty fans. IF you can, ask if you can clean it. IT will look better, and it actually is more inviting and such. Well, hopefully you enjoy the video. It’s not the best quality in the world, but that’s to blaim on the fact that my computer does not like rendering outdoor videos. There’s also a point in the middle of the video where the frame rate is bad. Sorry about that 🙂
