How to make a bird nest in just a few minutes with this simple DIY bird nest tutorial. This spring decoration is a great way to add a natural look to your home this Easter!

  • Bowl (any bowl in your kitchen will do – it will serve as a mold)
  • Glue guns

DIY bird nest supplies

Step 1.Find a bowl in your kitchen that’s about the same size you’d like your nest to be.

Invert the bowl onto a table or counter and wrap the angel filament mixture around the bowl to form a nest. You can cut off excess filler that you don’t need.

How to make nest

2nd step.Cut a few pieces of thin string and use it to glue the two sides of the nest together. I used three or four pieces of yarn, and it worked perfectly!

Remove the nest from the bowl and cut off unnecessary parts of the nest. The nest will stay in shape, but you can also move things around a bit if you want a nice round nest shape.

Step 3:Apply hot glue to the inside of the nest and add natural, green Spanish moss to the glue.

Use a hot rod or pad to press down on the foam to make sure it sticks to the basket. DO NOT use your hands, you could get burned!
