Drywall anchors are definitely useful when you want to securely hang something heavy on an empty wall or where there is no space.rivet. Probably the easiest way to deal with many unwanted drywall anchors or those in thedrywallbrittle or water damaged, is to dent them rather than remove them completely. Use a handy utility knife to score around the drywall around the anchor head. Place the screwdriver wider than the mouth of the anchor on top of the anchor and gently tap the screwdriver with a hammer until you have driven the drywall anchor into the drywall. When the anchor is dented, patch it up.
